SPRING is here - Trees and Plants are budding...

It is always wonderful to see the changes of the seasons, especially moving from the dead of Winter, through MUD SEASON, and on into Spring!  Here in Maine, in particular, we do have at least five distinct seasons, and some folks think there is a sixth - namely BLACK FLY SEASON!!! As many are unaware, the BLACK FLY is the unofficial State Bird for Maine!!!

Also with the coming of Spring and the blooming of trees and plants, some of us are particularly affected by high pollen count and blooming of various trees. So if you see someone who appears to have a stuffy nose, most likely it is from allergies, and NOT Covid!

My main point is to note one other harbinger of Spring - and that is the return of our "snow birds", who have chosen to escape the cold Winters of Maine and have retreated to warmer climes.  It is wonderful to welcome many of our neighbors at the various lakes and ponds here in the York County Lakes Region, as we eagerly await seeing docks go in the water and to see boats, kayaks and canoes out on the lakes.
